The Anime & Manga subcommittee is not only a platform where people of like-minded interests can discuss their passion for anime, but also a place where lifelong skills are developed via exposure to the planning of events.

Our vision is to spread the awareness of anime & manga culture in Japan to the Temasek Polytechnic student population.

Drawing Sessions

Every Monday, We hosts AM Drawing Sessions which consists of both Guided, where participants who aren’t confident in their skills can be guided by our sensei to improve their anime/manga style drawings and Themed sessions, where participants are given a platform to be able to draw their favourite characters based on the theme of the week.

The aim of these Drawing Sessions is to help give a platform for both members of the subcommittee and participants to get to know one another and build new friendships while drawing together.

The last event that was organised was a polymer clay keychain workshop to lead up to the upcoming Singapore Release of the KonoSuba movie that revolved around the cute konosuba mascot character, Chomosuke. In the event, participants were guided step-by-step by the AM Subcomm members on how to make the clay keychain from scratch and got to bring home their newly made personalised Chomosuke!

Here is a sample of what one of our participants made during the event:
