We are a small but dedicated group of subcommittee members here to provide a platform for everyone who would like to appreciate Japanese culture and understand the art of entertainment. Not only that, but we also help reach out to the aesthetic side of JCG by allowing everyone to experience varieties of traditions first-hand.
Current Situation
Due to the current situation of Covid-19.
we have suspended all weekly events E.g Drawing ,
Shogi and Kara. We seek your understanding during this dire time. We are truly sorry.
We hope that everyone will be safe and remember to wash your hands!
However ,
we have a line of activities in stalled on our instagram.
Make sure to have a lookout for our events every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday!
-SHOGI-
Enjoy the beauty and challenge of Japanese Chess with fellow members. Not sure how to play? Don't worry, our friendly sub comm members will be there to guide you and compete against you every Tuesday from 6 pm-8 pm.
DID YOU KNOW?
Unlike regular chess, when you have captured your opponent's pieces, you are able to respawn them back into the board. This really makes this game more intense and strategic.
-DANCE-
Show some love to your favourite idol groups by dancing to the beat and rocking out together with other participants. Not tired yet? We have dance sessions just for the enthusiasts and people who are interested out there. So come on down every Wednesday 6 pm-9 pm!
-KARAOKE-
The best way to end the week after a stressful time is by singing your heart out to your favourite anime or Japanese pop song. Scared that you sound tone deaf? It's ok because we're all not professional singers and we don't judge :) Enjoy using the self-created app solely for Karaoke Sessions here in Art's and Entertainment developed by our great alumni!
